Alright.. NEC Europe's list blows <insert barn animal here>. Here is a better list:

DVD+R Media that works at 16x:
YUDEN000T03
YUDEN000T02*
TDK002*
MCC004
PRODISCR04 (rev 4)
MAXELL003

*rated at 8x

With the exception of the noted media, all are rated at 16x. From what I can gather, there isn't any 8x DVD+R media that will work at 12x.

DVD-R Media that works at 16x:
MCC03RG20
TTH01*

DVD-R Media that works at 12x:
TYG02*
MCC02RG20*

*rated at 8x

According to my list, the drive can write to some 4x DVD-R media at 8x. It's nice to be able to do this without relying on hacked firmware.

Is Ritek DL media supported? It doesn't appear that it is according to some folks over at CD Freaks.

YUDEN000T03
<Drooling>, I want that!
Sure wish they would allow T01/01 to run at 12x/16x, I've a hunch it could do it.

That's great to hear! :) I have a lot of these, and it's easier to get 4x -R around here than any other kind of recordable DVD media.

Most anything will burn well, CMC and Prodiscs are fine.

Looks like we might need a "new" media list with the 2.X7 firmwares arriving.
TDK 2.77 will burn RICOHJPNR02 at 12X. :D
