Support DVD+R DL (Double Layer) media:
1. MKM (Mitsubishi)
2. Ritek

Support 16x DVD+R media:
1. Philips (C16)
2. Mitsubishi MCC (004)
3. TAIYO YUDEN (T03)
4. Prodisc (R04)
5. Maxell (003)
6. Daxon (AZ3)
7. RicohJPN (R03)
8. Ritek (R04)
9. SONY (D21)
10. TDK (003)
11. CMC MAG (M01)

For 8x DVD+R media which is able to write at 16x:
1. Daxon (AZ2)
2. LeadData (S03)
3. SONY (D11)
4. TDK (002)
5. TAIYO YUDEN (T02)
6. RicohJPN (R02)
7. Prodisc (R03)

For 8x DVD-R media which is able to write at 16x:
1. Daxon (008S)
2. SONY (08D1)
3. TAIYO YUDEN (G02)

I gotta give BenQ credit. They've added support for a lot of DVD+R media. Hopefully they can do the same with DVD-R

Ian do you still have the 1600 used for that preview? If so you can use this upgrade and do some testing.

Sure. Here's the new firmware for the DW1620. Don't use this one if you're trying to upgrade from a DW1600.

Rhaaa ! NEC will be -definitively- the last to have an official DL Ritek support on their DL burners #-o :x ](*,)

RicohJPN-R02 8x +r can now be burned at 16x. I've tried it but so far 4 coasters. With Nero-cdspeed-create data disc goes to 14x and then get write error. :cry:
