To good to be true!

Postby djmorgan on Sat Aug 28, 2004 7:55 am

Just installed a Pioneer A08XL and archived 2 DVD's the first was to a Verbatim +R DL rated at x2.4 according to nero this was burnt at x4 the next was to a TDK (ricohjpn r02) rated at x8 the burn took place at x12

I'm using the version 1.10 firmware on the drive my A07 would only every burn at the rated speed of the disk so if the A08 is burning by some other means I'm impressed.

Yes both disks are without errors and given the actual burn time I'd say nero was reporting the correct speeds. =D>

you can have nero report your burn speed in real time if you like, just change nero settings in the registry

make a new notepad document then just paste this text into it:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\Recorder]
"ShowSingleRecorderSpeed"=dword:00000001

then save it as something like showspeed.reg, save then double click and click yes to add it to your registery

restart computer then reburn again to show real speed

well you kind of worded it like you didn't know what exact speed nero was burning at
