Pioneer DVR-A07XL - $59.99 @ CompUSA

Postby Ian on Sun Aug 29, 2004 12:24 pm

I think this is in store only. CompUSA has the Pioneer DVR-A07XL (their 8x drive) on sale for $59.99 after a $40IR and a $40MIR.

This is the better looking retail drive. Not the fugly OEM version that most places sell online.

I wonder if the offer is limited by geographic location. My local flyer advertises it for $100 after MIR. There is no instant rebate, only the $40 MIR.

I was just at the Comp USA in Fountain Valley, CA. They had the deal that Ian described ($59.00 after rebate), and they did have a few of the burners in stock. Unfortunately, they only had white.

I was just over at Fry's in Fountain Valley, CA. They also had this drive on sale for $59.99 after $40.00 rebate from Pioneer. They had a whole pallet full of the white drives but no black ones. These are the retail boxes with fancy faceplates.

I dunno why, but the Compusa website doesn't even open up for me.

On the far left hand corner of the status bar, it says opening page;javascript:false..

Dunno what that means, but it just freezes up my IE and all I get is a white screen. Anyone know what could be the problem here?
