Nerovisin crashes when creating Video DVD fron Xvid files

Postby eranros on Fri Oct 08, 2004 6:41 am

I have the same problem with v2 and the new v3 of NVE:
I want to create a Video DVD , I add an avi file encoded with Xvid and soon after NVE crashes with this error signature:

Faulting application nerovision.exe, version 3.0.0.12, faulting module nerovideoproc.ax, version 1.0.0.72, fault address 0x0001c5e7.
or
Faulting application nerovision.exe, version 3.0.0.8, faulting module nerovideoproc.ax, version 1.0.0.71, fault address 0x0001c207.

or in v2
Faulting application nerovision.exe, version 2.1.2.18, faulting module nerovideoproc.ax, version 1.0.0.71, fault address 0x0001c207.

It doesn't happen with Divx files.

Abyone know how to fix this?

I have not tested wtih NeroVision 3, but I have no trouble working with an Xvid file using NeroVision Express 2.1.2.21

Anyone else see this issue?

Craig

Hi Craig,
The problem is nerovideoproc.ax = Resize / Deinterlace / Color Correction / Film Effect / Frame Capture Filter
If I rename it, Nerovision will not crash when I add the files, but will not create the DVD either. The moment I rename it back, NVE will crash.

I'm about to hit the road to promote our Nero 6.6, but when I return on the 21st, I'll do some testing and see what I can find.

Sorry about the delay, but I'm really short on time right now. :(

Regards,
