Star Wars EP3 Teaser Trailer

Postby Ian on Thu Nov 04, 2004 4:03 pm

Anyone else see it yet? From what I've seen, it makes up for the suckfest of EP2.

If you're not a member of Hyperspace it will be on Access Hollywood and MTV's TRL today. It's also all over the web... if you knew where to look.

Oh common, it wasn't nearly as bad as Ep1. Seeing Jango Fett was more than enough to convince me of that. Anyway, I think someone should be nice and host this trailer for the more unfortunate CDRLabs members ;)

Yeah, Jango was cool but Hayden's poor acting scarred me for life.

I'd host it, but people outside of CDRLabs would probably download it as well, sucking up our monthly bandwidth quota.

Ok after seeing the trailer, I have to say I may go rent the DVD.

This stuff is just not my cup of tea...

George Lucas disappoints again... :(

It was certainly enough to get my nipples hard in anticipation (needed some Boba Fett in there but that's alright). I honestly don't know how anyone who's ever liked anything Star Wars related could not find SOMTHING they liked in that trailer. I mean, we get to see Yoda fight again, YES!

I'd be surprised if we don't see a brief cameo of Boba Fett in this one. I'd also like to see a young Han considering Chewbacca is in this one.

Not to mention the trailers always look better than the actual movie.

I didn't think about that.... interesting plot twist. Knowing Lucas though.. he wont' do something cool like that.

I dunno, Lucas mentioned in the Empire of Dreams documentary (or the ROTJ DVD commentary, I forgot which) that he considered showing Boba Fett partially crawling out of the sarlacc after everyone left the scene. I think since he underdeveloped Fett in the Original Trilogy he owes it to the fans to show exactly why 99.999999% of the Star Wars galaxy fears the name of Fett

It's been long believed that Boba Fett did indeed escape the sarlacc pit... and I too would like to see more of his exploits... but I think he'll be too young in Episode 3 to really be scary.

They explain in great detail how Boba escaped from the sarlacc pit and what he does right after that ordeal in the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy of books: The Mandalorian Armor, Slave Ship, and Hard Merchandise. I personally think these three Star Wars books are some of the best literature that has ever come out of the Star Wars universe.

Yeah, its kinda funny. As a kid, Vader was the bad ass. With the Expanded Universe (books, comics, etc) giving Fett more of a history, he's even more feared than Vader.

Along with the Bounty Hunter Wars, pick up Tales of the Bounty Hunters. It's a collection of stories about the bounty hunters shown in ESB (Fett, IG-88, Dengar, etc) and has a prelude to the Bounty Hunter Wars. In particular, it tells how Fett crawled out of the Sarlacc.

Also, check out the Boba Fett stories from Scholastic books. They're aimed at kids, but they tell the tales of his exploits from EP2 to EP3.

Personally I think the Timothy Zahn series of 5 books after ROFJ was pretty awesome. Mara Jade had to be one of my favourite characters.

I have an autographed set of the Thrawn series somewhere. Zahn is a great author. So many characters of his are used throughout the Star Wars universe.
