Best dvd-r media for data

I have really amazing experience with SmartBuy dvd-r media, I lvoe their quality and amazing data storage. Well now it seems they getting hard to find could anyone, recomend me some other good quality dvd-r disk for data.

The thing is, I burn at dvd-r, it seems fine after its burned, but two weeks later the dvdr wont work anymore. Is it possible to test the dvdr media before burning. Too bad rima doesnt like Canada

That doesn't sound as best quality.

-If this is caused by reactions in the silver layer or reactions of the dye because of UV then I think it's time to get something else. (TY/MAXELL(the own media media Maxell makes is very good (except for some old 2x batches which had some bonding problems. But then again all companies seem to have had this problems once.(YEP that's includeing TY)) /MCC )
These sort of errors can not be tested at any time befor.
Still it's strange that the media works perfect after the burning unless there is difference in the storeing. Since if it is really dvd rot what you are experiencing then the unburned media would also become problematic. That is unless you use different storrage places or don't have huge stocks of media like some of us do.

Theres nothing you can do to be guarentted after burnig a dvdr that your data is safed, i store my cds in the cd cases.
