Postby carlos_uk on Sun Nov 21, 2004 7:56 am

I have a DVDROM/R/RW and a Blank Recordable DVD and for some reason i cant write on it, i've never burnt a DVD before, so i dont know whats up, When using a burning program like Nero it says isert a blank disk, or when i do it manually it says "File System Error (16389)" Thanks for any help in advanced..

just a guess...are you sure that you have a dvd burner? from the way you decscibed the drive it almost seems that you have a dvd rom/cdrw combo drive (which can't burn dvd's). what is the brand and model number of your drive?

Ermm I'm pretty sure i have a DVD Burner, both on my laptop and PC, funny enough they both give the same error, as stated before.
Laptop = Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-R6012, on the actual drive it says, DVD-ROM/R/RW.
PC - DVD- 16X DVD-ROM BDV316E on drive it says, DVD Multi Recorder, DVD Rewritable.

Your BTC drive (16X DVD-ROM BDV316E) does not appear to be a dvd burner. see this link:
