R52QS0E5A firmware usefull for old LTR52327S?

Postby XIII on Sat Dec 04, 2004 7:47 am

LiteOn released firmware R52QS0E5A for the LTR52327S. I have the "old" version of this drive. Does the "QS0E" mean that this firmware is not really updated for my drive (0E has been around for a while, and I don't even use that one) and there is no sense in flashing it?

I'd like to expand the question a bit -- what is considered the best FW for this drive? I know for a long time QS0B was considered much better than any of the updates, has anything come out since that's considered better? (in terms of writing quality?)

I've been following the forum and I haven't seen any data to show anything later than 0B is any better. I'm still running 0B myself.
