Think January / February :D

Thanks for the info.
But by how much will they drop in one or two months... :)

I recently bought TDK Ricoh DVD+R media for 20 cents per disc after rebate and Fuji 8X Taiyo Yuden for 40 cents (no rebates).
I don't need DL media to be anywhere near that cheap, but $5 a disc, for example, would still be too much for my needs.

You'll DEFFINATELY be able to get it for $5 a disc by then... the question should be, will any of the newer media perform better then Ritek's while keeping affordable. And that's a question I won't be able to answer until I get my first samples of some of the newer media to come :wink:
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R

I'm guessing you don't actually buy all of them though... do you?

The NEC result is correct; the pictures have not been swapped :p Bad ones were done twice to make sure that it wasn't a flawed disc

I am getting the unit today - another advantage when ordering from
OfficeMax/OfficeDepot/Staples.
I am also working from home today (3 mth old laundry machine being looked at to see if needs servicing), so I can play with it during lunch break, if the delivery comes by then.
