New Pioneer 1.18 A08XLA, 108AXL, and 108 firmware

DVD-R/W, DVD+R/RW, DVD-RAM

CD-DVD Speed 3.55 seems to allow Disc Quality scans with my DVR-A07XLB. I'm way out of the quality scanning loop...

PI failures max 1966 is pure nonsense. Plz don't take those values serious until Pioneer tells us what they actually measure.

Yes, I'm not saying the results are useful or anything... hoxlund, watch your inbox please.

Same disc: scanned in the Pioneer: 99% Quality score
Scanned in a Liteon LDW-401S which I don't really trust either anymore: 70%

hoxlund,

Thanks for the info. I heard that dvdinfo scanned them now, but I didn't know what results were good. I didn't know how to read them. I thought that all drives scan differently.

KenW,

Thanks. So, it's the same as the Lite On drive? If so, I guess I'm a little confused. I really thought it would be different.

How does the results from cdspeed and dvdinfo compare on a Pioneer 107d? Do they get the same results?

When will the results be reliable?

pi <= 280
po <= 280
Not sure where I explained that this is, for the pioneer scanning, completely wrong, but appearently it wasn't here.

In short: You have no idea (and neither do I), what Pioneer drives measure. Indicating limits of any kind is complete speculation. The only certain thing is that there is nothing like a 280 limit for any kind of PO errors
