Does anyone know if the 100 Packs of the Fuji DVD-R or DVD+R are TY's? I've only seen 50 Packs of Fuji DVD-R's that were Made in Japan.

Budda! As far as I know, all of the +R are TY and all of the -R are non TY.
I think the key is "made in Japan". If you see any +R that are not made in Japan then stay away from those also. I have not seen any -R made in Japan. Someone please help out if you know for sure about the -R media.
The media I bought last week was -R and Prodisk. not the greatest media.
but ok! My +R is TY from BB as of today.

It's actually a 50 pack rather than a 25.

The 4X and 8X use the same UPC code. All of the Best Buy stores I've been to have depleted their 4X stock for awhile now. I bet you'd get 8X if you ordered from bestbuy.com.

I know for a fact Fuji has Made in Japan 8X DVD-R since I went with a friend 2 weeks ago and he purchased some. The spindles are quite different though, as the paper Fuji label is on the inside of the pastic spindle cover rather than the usual outside like in a majority of the 50-pack spindles I've seen.

I guess I'll go check out BB tomorrow and see what they have since I need some media for my new Plextor PX-716A. I also need to pick up that Seagate 120GB HDD that is one sale for $49.99 after MIR's.

I thought that you recently got the 200Gb Seagate at Fry's for about $60, AMIR.

How many of these Seagates do you need? [-X

What do you think they are like? Nike basketball Shoes? :P

LOL!

I finally installed the 200GB onto my system today. The 120GB is for an external drive that my bro wanted, just need to get a case from Newegg.

As for the Fuji DVD's, my Best Buy only had two 100-packs of DVD-R and they were both made in Taiwan. I went searching and was able to find 5 100-packs of the DVD+R made in Japan, the rest of the stock were all Taiwan made. So that was an easy decision and if they burn well on my Plex, I'll go back rest of the week and buy some more.
