Used to be you bought a CD-R drive and you got some sort of software to do the process. Now you get nothing. I just bought a Toshiba SDR-1612. Not into burning DVDs yet, but still have the need for CD-R/RW's and watching movies on the PC. I don't really care too much for MS Media Player., but I didn't even get a CD with Nero Express or somthing like it.
So I look to Neros website and GEE there it is, Nero 6.6 for $99.99. Twice what I paid for the drive. I don't have that kind of money to spent on a single piece of software, that will need to be upgraded in 6 months.
What happened to cheap, good software. Or a Nero retail just for burning
CD's
