Need help ID'ing this burner

Postby DOGSNOTZ on Tue Jan 04, 2005 8:48 pm

Newegg has THIS burner on sale, and it says it has Quiet drive. Is this a rebadged DVR108? The bezel isn't even close.

TIA,
Mike

no known OEMs of that drive yet. It might be a Ricoh?

I think AOpen does their own manufacturing... I don't think it's a rebadge...

Yeah, in the past AOpen just rebadged Ricoh drives. This one though.. I can't figure out if AOpen did it themselves or its from someone else.

It's the retail version of the Aopen 1608/ARR.
An uninspired Ricoh chipset drive to say the least.
Burns aren't bad but no real 16 or 12x support to speak of and it is a very slow burner.
You can already find it in the bargain bins.
