I sugguest you edit your post to remove the name of the movies.

If your DVD burner can play them, you can copy them. All you need is software.

Names removed..

The question is because i can play them in my stationary denver dvd player - but not rip them with my recorder (only probs with some of the movies) - so i just wanted to ask if any one got a good suggestion for a intern dvd player for reading dvd's

You said you are having trouble ripping some DVDs on your Lite-On DVD burner. You also said you can play those same DVDs on a stand-alone (stationary) DVD player.

My question to you: Can you play those same DVDs on your Lite-On DVD burner? If so, then you should also be able rip them with the Lite-On. You just need the right software. That is what Spazmogen was telling you.

Click on this link or this link for some software to help you rip those DVDs.

Why can't you rip them? What software are you using and what error are you receiving?

Install AnyDVD from SlySoft and see if that will solve your problem.
