Hello!

Every CD-writer use the Eight-to-fourteen-modulation (EFM). If you want to know how the NEC works with SD2-protection then read the review from Cdrinfo.com ;)
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more

Even if a drive does do EFM, it doesn't do much good with the latest copy protections.

Mostly due to companies cracking down on drive manufacturers making their drives a little TOO good.

Is you want to copy discs, buy a Plextor Premium drive

Nope according to the cdrinfo review that is.
Which can be found at www.cdrinfo.com.

Ohyeah it seems they got some profesional tester working for cd-r's.
However with the current lay-out it would take you quite some time to see how the dvd writing quality is. Since no tables. Large ammount of media combined with a very sloppy lay-out.
In other words to much time consumeing for me and to complicated for the average joe which means that only people without a live. (hmm are you there Dolphinius Rex. ) might actually read the whole thing.
