having problems getting Recordnow DX 4.56 to rcognize my Pioneer DVR-108 Drives

Would like to keep older Ver. Recordnow because of Job list ability for more than 1 drive

Running
XP
1.18 firmware on drives

Is this a firmware problem????????

been trying different pxdrv.dll files
no luck with that
Anyone else having probelms like mine????????
Also tried Recordnow MAX 4.5

No. The likely problem is that RecordNow DX 4.56 is just too old. The DVR-108 came out long after RecordNow DX 4.56 was released, so support for the DVR-108 is not built into the program.

Check here and you will see that the DVR-108 is not supported by RecordNow Max.

You will probably have to upgrade to a newer version of burning software, but you can try to see if you can get an updated version of just the burning engine:

They have an engine update from August 2004,but it is only listed for 4.6 and above, so I don't know whether or not it will work with your 4.56.

The other links I posted should work with RecordNow Max 4.5 This link might help you with your RecordNow DX 4.56 because it's a update to RecordNow DX 4.61. I don't know if having a Sony drive is a requirement for the upgrade.

You should also look on sonics website for a pxengine update once you have (or if it lets you) updated to 4.61.

Good Luck!
