Verbatim 16X Media

Got a hot deal you want to share? Need one?

Verbatim 16X Media

Postby mpkelley20 on Wed Jan 26, 2005 10:03 am

Supermediastore has 16X Verbatim DVD+R discs on sale for $25.50 per 75 pack. I have not tried any 16X media yet but thought this seemd like a good deal for Verbatim discs. The only downside is the $30 mail in rebate. If you are good with those types of rebates, this seems like a great deal. here is the link.

That is one spooky rebate deal. It is not a $30 dollar rebate deal. It is 3 $10 rebates for a 25 pack applied to a 75 pack. Buy it for the $55 prices expecting nothing. Then if you receive the rebates, be very pleasantly surprised.

Doesn't the 75 pack say it's 3 25 packs in parentheses?

No big loss, trust me :wink:

Besides, don't you have the PX-716a? Let me tell you something, with that drive, it's not Verbatim media that you should be looking for :wink:

Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R

You are most correct Dolph! I was thinking about them for my LG drives. Yeah, my Plextor's have never agreed with Verbatim media!

Actually, I was trying to make an elusive hint towards another disc type that works better then anything else at 16x in the PX-716a #-o

On the whole though, I'm not that impressed with Verbatim's 16x DVD+Rs... maybe their 16x DVD-Rs are better?
