Drive with 8x DVDR+DL capabilities

Postby Laher on Sun Apr 10, 2005 7:53 pm

I read about the NEC 35** coming out in april which would support 8 x DVDR DL. Any news on this? Im gonna buy a new drive, and don't wanna buy it and 2 weeks later a newer version comes out.

Any help would be appreciated

Yeah, it sucks when that happens. Also consider media availability. It
won't matter if 8x DL media isn't available. Who knows.. by the time it is, other drives might be writing to DL media at 12x or 16x. Of course, that's just wishful thinking.
