What is the Point?

You know I just read the superb review of the new Pioneer drive at the top of the cdrlabs site today.

But what is it with these companies not offering bitsetting +r and +r DL...common how hard can it be? A waste not too.

AFAIK all DL drives auto set DVD+R DL to DVD-ROM booktype..but I agree about DVD+R SL.

some reason i don't have a problem with my pioneer setting its booktype

ohh wait thats cause i use dvd- media, sorry my mistake :wink:

when i get my new job im going to buy plextor 716 and the a09xl black at cost

add that to my current 2 dvd burners listed in my sig
