I just wish the Pioneer DVR-109 had less potential and more actual ability! :o

I know what you mean. I have both in my system and keep going back to the A08 as the primary burner and using the A09 for reading now. I am still scratching head as to why Pioneer took a step back on this one. I was going to get a PX-716 but will just wait on the next generation this summer.

Yeah, and the A09/109 still can't write to DVD+RW media at 8x.. You'd think they would have added support by now.

Still can't get 16x DVD-R recording done properly... or much 16x recording at all. I'm also unimpressed with the quality on 8x recording on several non top notch quality media types.
