Yeah, I do Q&A for them at no charge. I like supporting businesses in Canada who make an effort to NOT sell fake media, or take advantage of their customers.

It's what their supplier lists them as.... since I haven't brought any of those in from the US myself, I can only assume that somewhere on the disc is the name "Verbatim" whether on the disc itself, or in the hub somewhere.

I believe it was listed as such so that people would differentiate between that disc and a thermal printable disc.

Ohhwell that way you know you at least got something of MCC quality standard (it might be less nice when it comes to cosmetics.) and not some cheap ass version like some other brands sell.

CDRlabs offers image hosting now, so posting an image is MUCH easier

I look forward to seeing this :)

Image....here you go 8)

So...with my LG 4163b...16x no go in its enclosure...either firewire or USB 2.0...drops to 8x but starts at 16x....this normal?

Burns at 16x in the PC though.

What is the deal with this?

I find it odd that Verbatim 16x DVD-R discs for the US/Canada markets use the disc branding scheme from the European Verbatim discs...

This is how most of the Verbatim DVD media sold on the US and Canadian markets is branded, including the 16x DVD+R.

Ehh 16x is problematic on most USB 2.0.
C't did some nice tests with different drives on different enclosures.
You will see some weird stuff.
Enclosures not supporting drives.
Enclosures limiting to on USB and firewire. Different performance on USB 2.0
and firewire.

Gen-An is right, most Verbatim media has looked like his pic... but I'm not sure if we just got a shipment originally meant for Europe, or if they're switching over.
