LG Delays LightScribe Capable Super Multi Drive

Postby ItalianJob on Mon Jun 06, 2005 11:36 am

Does anyone know if LG GSA-4167B will support PI/PIF/jitter scan ?

As I don't know much about LG drives, is LG providing enough support for the current 4163 owners : I mean is there firmware updates and cool tools ?

Thanks !

Actually, its now the GSA-4176B. I have a feeling that was a typo in LG's press release though.

The way LG has always put it is that most of their drives go to the OEM market. Their OEM customers don't really need or want things like this. It's just one more thing for them to support.

Personally, I wish they would do more, at least with their retail drives.

So, no PI/PIF scan on the future LG ? Seems incredible... even NEC 3520 does it now.

Reading part of that translated press release sounded like something Yoda would say.

I really wanted this thing back in April. Oh well.
