Network/USB 120 gig for $39 at Office max

Postby Dartman on Sat Jun 18, 2005 4:54 pm

Found this on Slick Deals and in the e-mail flyer they send me each week. I got one and they matched the add today because I had the printout on me, They will match tomorrow if your store has some left and doesn't want to honor it today(Sat) http://officemax.crossmediaservices.com/officemax/default.aspx?action=browsepagelarge&storeid=2419802&rapid=151813&pagenumber=1

Anyways I got one and it works fine in USB 2.0 mode with no extra drivers in XP, and is also network capable with supplied drivers
If a mod wants to shrink down that link fine by me, not really good at the extra stuff in here. Good luck people, they are flying outa the shops now.
Some folks are also using a friends and family 10 percent off coupon if it works YMMV

All gone at the store by my house. This deal must be hot cause 4 people came in right after me asking for the same thing.

For whatever reason, all Mad Dog products were on clearance. I wonder what's up with that... ??? :-k

I was the first one at my store with the add in hand, they didn't know yet the price was that low. I noticed the MD stuff too but it wasn't a good enough deal yet to get any. They did have some 8x and 16x drives so probably NEC 2500 and 3500 drives, maybe a 3520. Maybe MD is going out or they get a better deal on the PD drives and whatever. I know some people that desperately want a 3500...

Yeah, the DVD writers weren't cheap enough for me to pick up another NEC.. but their USB floppies and sound cards were pretty cheap.

Didn't look at them other then to see they were 4.1 cards, I have 6.1 built in plus a SB live 24 value if neeeded. Kinda hoping those MD get cheaper before all gone and I'll pick up a few spares for friends and such. I tried a USB SB card and it used too much resouces so I gave it back.

They had 6.1 cards at my store. I think they were only $15.

Well Now they say it was all a dream, they claim the early adds they sent out to me, and the one on their web site was a price mistake. Lucky I got 1 and a few others all over the country did too. They are gonna get sued over this, Slick Deals and Fat Wallet are going Postal about it now. I have to say it is funny that it took them quite a few days to correct it......
