selecting a drive in DTemp

Postby dodecahedron on Sat Jun 18, 2005 1:46 pm

i downloaded the utility DTemp for monitoring the HD temperature
http://private.peterlink.ru/tochinov/
however it only show the temp of the primary master HD.
is there some way of making it show the temperature of other drives?
or is there some other freeware utility for displaying HD temps than you can recommend ?

looking at the SMART info, it appears that the IBM returns a value for an attribute called Temperature (ID=C2) but the WD drive doesn't return info on this attribute.

does this simply mean that the WD drive cannot report drive temp, and that's why i can't get this info from DTemp ?
