Philips DVD8701 - OEM BenQ DW1640?

We pulled a dead Philips DVD8701 out of a Dell GX620 today. According to the label, its made by BenQ. It also had the weird side vent like the DW1640. Anyone know for certain if its an OEM DW1640?

It's a BenQ.

Would have say it's a 1640 without DVD-R DL (firmware update needed) BUT I don't see these two circles (middle right/left of the pic ) on a 1640 retail drive, so ?

From the same source, it is clearly a BenQ 1640 = Philips 1628/1648 for DELL (OEM name) :

Yeah, Jan from CD Freaks let me know that its the OEM of the 1628/1648.. which is based on the DW1640.
