Does anyone have the Plextor 716AL?

Postby Nocturnal on Tue Aug 23, 2005 3:31 am

What are your thoughts on it? I just placed my order through zipzoomfly.com and will be receiving it within three days.

I will be using it mainly for backing up data at work. I work at a computer repair shop and we do data back ups for clients.

Again, what are your thoughts on this drive?

it's the same as the 716A, just slot loading.
you'll find plenty of opinions about the 716 by browsing this forum, and Ian reviewd it as well.

I don't think Best Buy will get it...

Why not? So far I have yet to see a retail box for the PX-716AL, only brown OEM boxes, and if I'm correct, Best Buy only sells retail.

In Germany the best price for 716A is:

93,99€ = 114,85 $ (without shipping)
