Sorry.. I don't have any info on that drive yet. At least we know that faster DVD-RAM is coming. Only what, a year late?

now, when are the drives going to hit the market ?
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

On this new link from AV Watch (posted on september the 4th)
http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/av/docs/ ... /ifa05.htm

Among other pictures and a comment in japanese
you can even see this picture from the IFA in Berlin:

If you put the link in a babelfish translater the text starts with the following words:
« IFA 2005 report < 16 time fast DVD-RAM compilation >
Matsushita, Hitachi LG 16 time fast DVD-RAM drive sale within year
Hitachi マクセル and the like announces also 16 time fast media »

and beside the LG drive you can find a other photo of a Panasonic drive with "incredible" specifications:

Is 16x DVD-RAM burning to become soon also the fastest (and still the more reliable) way to burn Data on a ODD ??
Because I don't have the knowledge I will not make more comments on this
but I hope that somebdy here is able to do it ...
