FS: Taiyo Yuden CD-R Discs

Postby TheWizard on Thu Aug 18, 2005 1:15 am

Whoever said CD-R's went out of style? :)

I have a sizable cache of genuine Taiyo Yuden CD-R discs that I am selling in portions of 100. These are the real deal, made in Japan, 700MB/80MIN. Many people (including myself) believe that Taiyo Yuden CD-R's are the best in the world for longevity, stability, and compatibility. The discs are silkscreened with the Wal-Mart and Fujifilm names as they were originally intended for sale within the store, but the company abandoned the idea as some of the discs were misprinted. The CD's were never used before and they come packaged in a spindle. This is your chance to get these authentic Taiyo Yuden discs for an extremely low price! Perfect for storing data, music, and pictures!

Here is the disc information from Nero CD-DVD Speed:

Manufacturer : Taiyo Yuden
Code : 97m24s01f
Disc Type : CD-R
Usage : General
Recording Layer : Dye Type 1: Long Strategy (Cyanine, AZO)
Recording Speed : n/a
Capacity : 79:59.72
703 MB
Additional Capacity : n/a
Overburn Capacity : not tested

Why am I selling these? Because I have too many! I'll never use them all! Plus, I aim to buy more blank DVD's.

$20 for 100 discs, this price includes shipping to any United States destination.

Discounts will be given for higher volume orders. The more you buy, the more you save!

International orders are welcome. Please contact me for exact shipping quotes.

The shipping method will be decided by me based on distance and weight of the package. All buyers will receive a tracking number. All international shipments will be sent via the United States Postal Service.

Kindly send me a PM or Email rdupuis@gmail.com if you are interested.

PayPal and Money Orders/Cashier's Checks are accepted.

Hrm... those silkscreens look REALLY poorly applied (which means unbalanced disc)... but that's the nature of the beast I suppose.

I had no control over the silkscreening. :)

They still behave like TY discs from what I can tell. Nero CD Speed ScanDisc shows 100% good sectors on all the burns I have made with these CD's.

Luckily, CD-Rs are MUCH more forgiving when it comes to balance issues, then DVDRs are  (having much less dense data storage helps)

In addition to the above Wal-Mart/Fujifilm discs, I am also selling unbranded Taiyo Yuden discs that have a black and grey fleck silkscreen. They have the same ATIP as the above discs, plus they have a plain design, which is ideal for anyone who doesn't want graphics on their discs.

Most of the details about the transaction are the same. Note: the price below is for the black and grey fleck TY discs.

I do need a better camera, I won't deny that. :) Oh, and I have a wholesale source for the media. A good seller never reveals his product sourcing secrets.
