Already have a kitten, and a cat.

The cat is 20lbs, and has paws big enough to slap small children around. The kitten is 4lbs. The kitten is the dominant one of the two. You figure it out.

Fortunately, a good front-declawing has put an end to Indiana-Jones style climbing of the drapes. However, chewing is still a problem. Someday, I envision the wife telling a student of hers in class, "I'm sorry, the cat ate your homework".

Buy the cat one of those soft chew sticks that they sell for small dogs. Our cats loved them.

Plus they outgrow a lot of it. My parents got a kitten about a year ago who was a HUGE chewer and climber, but now she's pretty mellow about everything...

Cats are great... :)

That little gray tiger-striped kitten is a real looker.

These pictures aren't great, they were taken with my Treo 650 in sub-optimal lighting conditions, but it's the quickest digital camera when I only have a few seconds to take a picture.

I was thinking that too, but I refrained from saying something in case Monte was referring to a kitten's newborn family. Then, the kitten could have been a boy. :)

Normally though, yeah, male cats usually scoot after impregnating a female. Lousy good for nothing. :P
