i don't know what's messed up with Nero's website.

when i click the link cfitz gave (which i assume CCampbell meant)
http://www.nero.com/nero7/ENU/Nero_7_Pr ... grade.html
i automatically get redirected to this page:
http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_7_Pr ... grade.html
(note the differenece in the URL).
if i then manually edit the address bar of the URL to change 6 to 7 i get to the 'right' page which has more info, has the same info as this:
http://portal.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero_7 ... grade.html
there there's an explanation of what the * means.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

CCampbell wrote:Hi Everyone,

I just read this thread, I didn't think it was anything I had to check up on or respond too, but it looks like I should have so that I could have made a comment from the begging in regards to Free upgrades to Nero 7.

On our Nero Web page where we make the statement that we are offering a Free upgrade to Nero 7 for those users who purchase Nero 6 between the times of September 1, 2005 and November 30, 2005, we also state that this only applies to those who purchased it at the Regular price, which is $99.99.

We did add an addendum stating that we will also honor those who recived the $20 Competitive Rebate. But any rebates beyond this will not qualify for a free Nero 7 Upgrade.

You can confirm this by going to:

Sorry, I know some are not going to be happy to be made aware of this limitation. :-?

Regards,

Craig

Hello Craig,

Can you clarify for me?-

If the Ultra version of Nero 6 was purchased at a retail store, at a sale price of $39.99 US ( no rebates ), after September 1st, will it qualify for the free upgrade to Nero7?

Thanks,
Bill
