I need sleep..

Here I am, up again at 6:30 after being woken up at 4am by my wife. A friend of the family went to the Madison riots.. I mean Halloween party down on State St. His friends ditched him and he was drunk off his ass. Who does he call? Not his own parents, but mine. Since it would take them like 2 hours to get up here (they drive slow), they call me and ask me to go get him. I tried talking to him on his cell phone, but at 4am, I don't understand drunk talk very well. I finally drove down there and found him (it was surprisingly easy.. only drunk left at 4:30am).

Sigh.. I guess I finally come full circle and become a responsible adult.

Yeah, drunk talk can be difficult to understand, more so at that time. I remember the good days when I sure was fluent in that there drunk talk. Now a days, I remember some phrases, just enough to get in trouble.

The good thing is that he was not driving. A DUI is not good!

I'm just glad it was Friday night and not Saturday. He probably would have ended up being tear gassed and tossed in jail.

ouch, well you can be sure you're parents will never get a drunk call from me at 4am and need you to pick me up :)

Disconnect your landline telephone and turn off the cell phones before going to sleep.

I got paged at 2:00A (EDT) by work on a Wednesday night into Thursday morning from some guy in Japan and I only went to sleep like around midnight. Needless to say, when it was 2:00A Japan, he got a call saying the system was up.

Okay, back on the subject of drunks, I used to go out and drink until 4:00A, but at least I find my way home be it by a cab, bus or subway even if it's about 2 hours by mass transit. I could never understand another drunk talking. The worst I get these days are friends that have been drinking and trying to MSN me.

Hope you have gotten some sleep lately.
