Well, I'm glad to see SOMEONE isn't afraid of putting the RIAA in their place! Music has been utter crap for years now....

:-?
Tis the season to be spiteful?

Seriously though, Iran sure is taking things a bit far. It's only a matter of time now before they declare they should be able to own nukes and vaporize whoever the hell they want. I guess with the world we have now, the US and other intelligent allies will only be able to stop the madness after Israel disappears one night... Good thing Iran is only a hop, skip, and a jump from Iraq ;)

I only do it to get a rise out of you.

Here in the US.. I really can't stand the wackos pushing for separation of church and state. This country was based on Christian beliefs.. so deal with it.

Iran on the other hand is one country where a little separation would be good. It's a prime example of what happens when you put religious fanatics in control.

We all know that this Ahmadinejad guy says one thing but does another. Right now, he's probably sitting back, drinking a brew, listening to some Boy George and watching gay porn.

nice to know we still have friends
although when that happens, you might want to stay away from the area.
with our 'fearless leaders' i'm sure we won't take that sitting down. the mid-east will be radio-active for the next few centuries i'm sure.

If you didn't hear his [the Iranian president's] words indicating that the US and Israel should be destroyed, or that the Holocaust did not occur, and then this, you'd think he was pretty normal, right? ;)

Former president Khatami would have been a good leader but for the fact that there are two governments in Iran...and the religious hard-line (read: the Ayatollah and minions) are the one that counts. Hard to build a good government when you have strings tied to you and someone else is pulling them. This time around, they made sure that a moderate president would not win.

I lump the Iranian Ayatollah (and their current president for that matter) into the same category as Pat Robertson here (though with more power and the ability to direct violence, which is worse). Both will be incredibly surprised someday when they come face to face with God and find themselves found lacking in the piety they claimed to have. Attempting to rule by their methods and then calling the US the infidels is a rather obvious case of a pot calling the kettle black. I have real problems with any faith that claims people must be forced into it --without being given a free will, how could true faith in anything exist?

Interesting to hear you say that. Usually, liberal-minded fokes want pretty much an atheist state. To be honest, even though I consider myself of Christian faith, I have no problem with the government being secular. We are a country that allows religious freedom and I am thankful for that; if someone wants to play with dradels (or nothing for the athiests) instead of decorating Christmas trees then fine by me. While I get mad once and awhile when people try to push this damn "Happy Holiday VS Merry Christmas" thing on me, I usually can block it out fairly easy.

I guess I'm a little more tolerant than some in that regard. Saying god in the pledge or seeing "In God We Trust" on money really doesn't bother me. Bending over backwards to please some loud mouthed atheist minority.. that pisses me off. It's not like the government is saying that we should all be Catholic or something.

Personally, I am not offended by seeing people celebrate religeous holidays. If I lived in say Israel, I'd expect to see menorahs and what not. Here in the US, a country that is primarily Christian, you shouldn't be surprised to see christmas trees. If you don't want to call them christmas trees.. then don't. Just don't bitch and whine and make us all call them frigging holiday trees.

Yes... the whole holiday vs. christmas tree thing really bugs me. I hope Santa drops a big flaming bag of dog shit down the chimney of every polictically correct wuss in this city.
