Star Wars Transformers (big pics)

Postby Ian on Sat Sep 24, 2005 7:56 pm

Hasbro has finally found a way to suck the few remaining dollars from my wallet. They've taken the two toy lines I collect and combined them.

Takara already offers special versions of some of their toys in anime colors. As it is, I consider the Armada/Energon/Cybertron toys to be pretty anime-ish.

Speaking of Cybertron, Ian, did Cartoon Network just take it off the air? My son loves TF, and we used to watch it on Sat @ 7pm. I flipped it on this past Sat, and no TF. I went to CN site and saw a banner flash by that said starting Sep 19, Cybertron was on M-F @ 4:30.

He was so excited, he asked my wife to pick him up from day care early so he could watch it. My wife said he came out of our bedroom at 4:30 w/tears in his eyes because it wasn't on. I can't seem to find it anywhere in their tv schedule.

Got any clue what's going on?

smartin4, its on the WB right now. It goes back to CN in January.

I know a lot of fans are happy about the move to the WB. With Armada and Energon, CN kept bouncing them from time slot to time slot. They eventually pulled both shows and there were no new episodes for months.

What time & which days?

Thanks for the info, I had no idea they moved. I know CN is bad with changing their schedules around. We used to watch Energon at 6 am, then all of asudden one morning, poof, it was gone.

I am pretty sure I get channel 11 out of NY on Directv, I will check when I get home

Never mind Ian, I found it, it's on at 4:30 pm.

Thanks again for the info.

Looks like it is back to 6am weekdays.

I think I may have to break down and finally get a DVR, my son is going to be upset that he won't get to see it anymore.

Yeah, its back to CN starting today. Hopefully they'll start showing new episodes as well.

I've been watching the Japanese (subbed) version of Cybertron (Galaxy Force over there). It's probably the best Transformers show I've seen since Beast Machines.

Too bad the Star Wars Transformers suck ass. I saw them in the stores last week and they look like cheap crap. Ugh.. so much potential. Hopefully the rumored GI Joe Transformers will be better.

Hey smartin4,

If you get G4 TV, there's a new show called Action Blast. It shows episodes from both Cybertron and Beast Wars. Yes, one of the best TF series ever is back on TV!

Thanks for that, I have Directv, and G4 is one of the way too many channels I get.

What time?

The Millenium Falcon itself looks good... but the two robot forms look AWEFUL!
