Write speed grayed out in nero

I just got the new DW1655 BENQ and the wirte speed is grayed out and I see 4x behidn it.
these are 4x TY DVD-R's.
Why cant I select a slower speed like 2x?
I throw in TDK and sony 4X dvd and they gives me 2x option.

mybe counterfeit TY media?
i have some 4x Princo DVD-R, when i put them in the drive i also get only 4x speed. that's the only speed the media can handle.

I dont think its couterfeit.
I get 2x option when its in a different DVD burner (DD0405 Optorite).
only 4x on the new DW1655 Benq

well, obviously this drive an only do this media at 4x.
maybe it's a firmware issue.

IIRC, Benqs can't write to DVD-R discs at speeds <4X, except 2.4X in some cases.

Avaialbe write speeds is controlled by the Recorder and it's firmware, based on the media it detects in the drive.
