I thought you guys might like to see some of the pictures taken while I was at SakuraCon 2006. So here they are!

This is a sticker on a sign we saw, and for some reason decided was worthy of a picture :P

This is the power drink that kept us going during the whole event. Actually that's not true, I brought about 12 cans of Beaver Buzz (Canadian version of RedBull, but better!), but this helped fill in the cracks. We all snuck a can or two of this home into

This was one of the most popular costumes of the whole convention. She was wearing VERY little clothing, and everyone was waiting for her to raise her arms just a LITTLE too high... ahhh, good family fun :P

This guy is dressed up as Spike from Cowboy Bebop, an EXCELLENT anime! He's holding a "Yuri paddle". Yuri is a term for anime/mange involving girl/girl relationships, the opposite is called Yaoi. Don't get them confused ;-)

One of the BEST costumes EVER! A devoted anime fan is called an Otaku... *THIS* person is the self proclaimed O-Taco. I think she won something in the cosplay contest as well.

I attended the Yuri panel at SakuraCon :wink:

Yaoi panels are scary. Too many psychotic fangirls with odd expectations. Really, I fear for the next generation of adults...

AH the fan girl!!! The only thing I can’t stand more than a fan girl is an over weight person trying to pull off a cute sakura cosplay from CCS. There is one on the way to school on the bus once in a while that has to be the shallowest Anime fan ever. I do like my bishounen, but I must have plot damn it.

I should have someone in the yaoi panel with a rolled up newspaper every time one of em squees.
