Good CD/DVD Software with a small footprint...

Postby Saitac on Fri Jun 30, 2006 7:55 am

I rarely burn CD's or DVD's so I don't want crap running in the background all the time eating up resources when I'm never going to use it. I am obsessed with computer performance and don't want to use Roxio or Nero because they are so freaking intrusive and eat up system resources when they aren't even being used. Yes, I can disable all the intrusive crap but I'd rather get a simple yet versatile program that only runs when I want it to (ie nothing that starts with windows like the InCD stuff or Drag/Drop to CD stuff) and has a small footprint on my computer...Any suggestions ???

Are you looking for a packet writing program or something to master your own discs?

Im just looking for an all around software package such as DeepBurner or something. I burn ISO's, data, DVD's, pretty much anything. Just looking to replace Nero 7.0 with something a bit tidier...

Is my question confusing or something ? By small footprint, I mean a program that has low system resource usage. Im not going to be running multiple programs really but I'm not interested in Autoupdate stuff running continuosly or Programs running in the background all the time...
