Newegg has Samsung S182D 18x drive...

...for $32, too!

I'll order one either this Friday or next Friday, cash-flow depending.

And NOT for the 18x burning...just for the improved burn quality over the 162 (crosses fingers)...

Mods, if this is more appropriate in the "Hot Deals" section, feel free to movie it :)

Heck, I'd get it just for the 12x DVD-RAM. Oh wait.. they aren't selling the media in the US yet.

I knew I was forgetting something...thanks, Ian!

And 12x RAM would be nice...and imagine, a drive that actually does GOOD with Verbatim DVD-Rs!

That's why you need to build up a global network of people who can ship you stuff, like some other people, :D

Yeah, beats the heck out of the $300 I paid for my first DVD burner...of course, I remember paying $200 for a 4x CD-ROM drive (ROM, not R/RW!)...
