I love how it's called "Pre-RC1." I call it beta.

Far, far better than the public Beta 2...think it'll be my main OS on my C2D machine when the parts get here.

Anyone know of a good, free firewall for Vista? Zonealarm won't install (freezes about mid-way).

Need something with out-bound program control...

I'm not sure if its in the betas, but that is supposed to be one of Vista's big security features.

I think the out-bound app control is only if you get their pay AV/security service

Either way, it's not in the beta.

And CDSpeed 4.60 reports "no cd drives"

Nah, thats part of the built in firewall. You don't need to pay for that.

Must not be in the beta's yet, then. Oh well...

Now if I could get lightscribe & CDSpeed to work, I'd be happy :)
