Happy Thanksgiving to all

Postby ruderacer on Wed Nov 22, 2006 6:35 pm

Wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving. I hope the time you spend with your family is a happy one. This is my favorite holiday! It gives us a chance to spend quality time with our loved ones in this busy and hectic world. Cheers to all!

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to spend time with your loved ones and be thankful for the things you have. It also is nice to remember the early pilgrims who had much less then most of us do, and still managed to survive. But in all this spirit of thankfulness, I still get confused every year about why you crazy yankees have Thanksgiving so late in the year, way after any harvesting could be done (like in the pilgram's days).

I have a nagging feeling it's because people could make more money this way somehow...

Thanksgiving is a great time to be with your inlaws, 300 miles from your own family. Right now I'm thankful for my laptop and the unsecured access point I'm using.

This year I'm thankful that dinosaurs don't still roam the Earth.
A man has been charged after allegedly punching a 73-year-old woman in the face, breaking her nose and stabbing her in the arm with a corkscrew before hitting a second woman with a bottle at a wedding reception in the Whitsunday Islands.
