Nero 7.5.9.0A released

Postby myckee on Mon Nov 27, 2006 5:28 pm

I'm not sure what has changed, but today Nero updated their program from version 7.5.9.0 to 7.5.9.0A.

You can get it from the various Nero FTPs, the website etc.

On another forum a poster says this is a European release and not on the N.A. update site.

If I remember right, Craig has said that the A releases fix something in the installer.

The update seems to be for Nero 7 Premium and not Ultra.. so yeah, I'd say its for non-US markets.

There is no indication of release of Nero 7.5.9.0A that you are refering to.

If you're in the US, you need to click the International link up to and change the language to English (not US-English). Then you'll see the A version on the download page:

http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/eng/nero7-up.php

In particular:

http://nero-mirror.com/software/Nero7/7 ... 0A_eng.exe
http://nero-mirror.com/software/Nero7/7 ... xe.torrent

Yeah, I hate that guy. ;)

I got all excited (new releases do that to me for some stupid reason) and downloaded 7.5.9.0A and installed it. I haven't noticed any program version number differences. /shrug

If you're a North American registered user, logging into My Nero does not offer the "A" version either (as of this post).

Well I just went to nero.com, and when I select download trial or update, the link given is to the new version. The page says it is the old version, but the actual link points to thenew one.

Yeah, that's a recent change.

It's odd that registered users using My Nero (I'm talking specifically about logging in first) get offered the "A" version later than everyone else; it's still not up.

I've been checking the registered user's site for the "A" version and still not there this morning. Don't know why the change as my 7.5.9.0 is working great so far. I think a while back Nero did a European upgrade for the German market for some reason. Memory is fuzzy this early in the a.m. Makes you wonder why Europe gets fixed first and why. Gotta look after the "home-market" first?

Hi Everyone,

We provide the same release for European market as we do for the US market and the rest of the world.

The current version of Nero 7 posted on our website is Nero 7.5.9.A

When we add a letter to the end of the build, this is normally to designate a small change that could be as simple as an ID String for a new model recorder, or an isssue with the installer, etc....

It will always be in regards to a 'small' change that in most cases will not affect everyone and does not require a major change.

Regards,

Craig
