New Firmware For Lite-On 18x and 20x DVD Writers

Postby Ian on Thu Jan 18, 2007 5:22 pm

I know a couple of these have been floating around for awhile but a few of them, like LL06 for the LH-20A1H, are new.

LH-20A1H LL06 - http://www.liteonit.com/DOWNLOADS/ODD/L ... 20LL06.zip
LH-20A1P KL05 - http://www.liteonit.com/DOWNLOADS/ODD/L ... 20KL05.zip
LH-18A1H HL06 - http://www.liteonit.com/DOWNLOADS/ODD/L ... 18HL06.zip
LH-18A1P GL0F - http://www.liteonit.com/DOWNLOADS/ODD/L ... 18GL0F.zip

It figures too.. I just finished running tests on the LH-20A1H with the LL05 firmware.

I hope that means a review is coming soon! :D

There are reports at CDFreaks that the 18x and 20x drives are limited to 6x burns after lightscribing. This restriction remains in effect until a reboot. Have you observed that?

Maybe the new fimrware fix this (other than the usual "Match more media").

You know, that happened to me last night. I kinda wrote it off as a fluke though. I just created another Lightscribe disc so I'll have to give it a try.

The Lightscribe bug hasn't been fixed in the LL06 firmware.

Hi,
I can not get my dvd writer to recoignize or play a dvd. It will play a cd tho.
It seems that I once changed the player from a gloj to a glof or similar type but now the co0mp will not allow this driver or firmware to be installed.

So you want to flash it back to an older firmware?
