Vista Pricing...

Postby Spazmogen on Wed Jan 24, 2007 4:01 pm

Use this thread to let others know about the best price you've seen for Vista and where it was.

Provide links and state which version its for, so others can buy it.

Also state which country you're in! Default country is USA, unless mentioned.

If its Academic prices, say so!

If you can find a UW student to buy you a copy, you can get Vista Ultimate for like $25. I gotta pay $80 though.

The best price I've seen was $99 CDN Academic for Home Premium Upgrade.

I'll post a link AFTER my order is accepted.

I have to dig up the son's school records 1st.
The webstore shows K-12 qualifies...I'll believe it when I see it.

That same edition is $189 CDN @ Amazon.ca

edited, as the price was dropped to $99 CDN for this version.

That's funny!! We could save money and pay for the trip if we could find one mule to bring back 50 copies.

Spazmogen, great idea!

I'm trying to determine total out of pocket cost for Vista... I remember when Microsoft offered the upgrade path to XP64 bit, the owner had to give up rights/ license to a 32bit copy of XP. Anyone know if that same requirement applies to the Vista upgrade offer?

I have been using both 32 bit and 64 ones(as part of bata testing) since last may, it looks like there is still problem finding VISTA 64 bit compatible driver for "Legacy" components. Also I rather to have professional version than Some ones.
