Interesting the external models didn't get a bump. I'm tempted to try it but my H10L is working so well I'm sort of scared to mess with it, especially with this in the changelog:
3. Register Write Strategy for new DVD media

-- Does that just mean it's added new strategies? Or is it something more like an Autostrategy mode?

(c'mon, LG, the x10 family's gotten 2-3 FW updates since release, where is the H22L's desperately needed firmware??)

It IS a DVD-RAM drive. If you can't make a copy it's probably something else. What software are you using? (it should've always been reported as DVD-RAM, not DVD-ROM)

Postby Nashkena on Mon Apr 09, 2007 8:01 am

I have a GSA-H10L dvd writer equiped working with lightscribe.
My LG ODD Auto Firmware updater, updated my DVD writer
to a wrong version of firmware.
Insted from LL10 to LL12, the update change my dvd writer to model GSA-H10N with Firmware JL12.
I cant operate the lightscribe which is very importent to me.
Can anyone Help please.

You can remove the model check from the LL12 firmware .exe file with my MCSE tool. Using patched firmware voids warranty.
