nero BackItUp doesn't work anymore!

Hello,
I made an entire data backup using nero BackItUp. Now it's time to restore my backup, however nero says the backup file is corrupted. I must absolutely restore this backup no matter what. What should I do? Also can someone suggest an alternative backup software thats easy to use.. Thanks.

What process did you use, exactly, to create the backup?

Did you use the 'File Backup', or 'Drive Backup' option?

First, you should use the 'Verify Backup' feature in Nero BackItUP to determine if the backup is good and useable.

Second, if you used the 'File backup' feature, you can always use WinRAR to open the compressed files and restore manually. The only problem with that is that any file names that exceed the 8.3 file name structure will not be restored with the full name. For this, you do need to restore through the Nero BackItUp program.
