I saw the preview today at the theater...
Pretty crazy that they are making this.

It's going to be similar to the 'Garfield' movies.
The chipmunks look like cartoons and they interact with real people.

I was surprised to see Jason Lee in the lead role.

I also saw the trailer at the movie the other day... all I had to say is... "WTF!"

Sounds kind of like the Underdog trailer, which has guaranteed my not seeing the movie. I'm too fond of the memories of the original cartoon (and one of the coolest theme songs) to risk seeing them killed. It might have been a little cheesy/campy, but I still remember it fondly.
