Is this the one that adds 1080p/24 output? I didn't think it was supposed to be out until September.

Nope. Supposedly this update fixes some playback issues that occur with some discs along with improved networking features.

I mailed Toshiba the request for firmware cd card that came with the machine. Mailed it about 6 weeks ago, nothing so far. I'd like to think they waited knowing this update was coming. If I don't get a cd in short order I'll be giving them the what for.

I believe you can also call them to have them mail out a CD.
You might want to give them a ring if you don't get anything in the mail soon...
