NEED HELP with Lite-On LH-20A1H

Postby SammySerious on Mon Oct 22, 2007 8:32 pm

OK, I've been using a NEC for a few years and never had any problems with anything I burned, CD or DVD. Recently I switched to the 20A1H and everything seems good but audio CDs. Of the four players I use, 2 play ok but are slow to find the 1st track, 1 won't play at all and the last gives a not finalized error. I have tried DeepBurner and Nero, all write methods and most speeds with same results from all. Anybody have any suggestions?

I find my Lite-On 20A1H does OK with CDR if I burn at 16X, if you have not tried reducing the speed you might want to give that a try.

What brand of CD-R are you using? Try to get some FUJI or Maxell Pro that are made in Japan. These will be TY and good quality. If this doesn't help, see if there is a firmware update.

Good Luck!
