Nero replacement

Postby Moonrise on Sun Nov 25, 2007 6:14 pm

Hey all

I've been using Nero for years, and I liked it, until I got vista... there are so many things Nero seems to break on Vista, for one my control panel wont open after I install it, not to mention all the Vista Perceived types, quite a hazzle to fix that one :S

So I'm looking for something new, and as I was happy with Nero, I don't really looked around for anything else, so now I'm at a loss

What would you guys suggest as a good replacement ? just for making DVD's and CD's - not copies but my own compliations

TIA

Have you tried ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com)?

ImgBurn is great for data and video, but at the moment cannot do audio. It's still a little quirky, but CDBurnerXP is not to bad for day to day stuff, though I don't use it much... I still like Golden Hawk CDRWIN... and I am still using XP.

Thanks, I found the file explore in imgburn a bit too simple, but CDBurnerXP seems like a nice program

Thanks for your help :)

Get rid of Vista.

Visit a few forums for other applications and you'll note that a lot of apps don't work after Vista is installed, or when they try to load their old apps on new PCs, particularly laptops with Vista pre-installed.

Outside of that, you're on the road to success.
