How can I contact optical drive engineers?

I have a question for the experts (engineers). How can I contact optical drive engineers?

At least GIGABYTE has a forum, but I do not know if GIGABYTE has any optical drive manufacturing.

Not a FAQ.. moving..

I wish I had an answer for you but even I can't always talk to the engineers. Usually they're insulated by marking people and bean counters that have no idea what you're talking about so it probably does not get forwarded on to them.

And if you want to shoot your own home movies and have some questions on technique, it's tough to get in touch with Steven Spielberg, too.
